| Barbara Lasater, a local actor & director of stage, film & television commercials, offers training in two areas:

BLAC:
|
trains 7-18 yr. old youths in the art of acting from a professional standpoint, and includes audition training & preparation. |

Lasater Training:
|
workshops for adults in using the skills of the actor in the workplace especially in the area of presentation skills. |
Barbara also helps prepare seniors for college auditions and 8th graders for HSPVA.
About Barbara
Barbara received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Texas in Acting and Directing and has spent 30 years in the field that has ranged from the New York Ballet, stage & film, to commercials. In college she received Shakespearean scholarships, and in her film career has received best acting awards. Her films have included Rush, In the Water, and I Float.
During those years, Barbara also taught acting in both the public and private sector, including workshops around the state and start-up of the drama department at Briarwood High School where she was producer and director for 19 years. She has also been a screenwriter for 20 years and is currently artistic director of the Country Playhouse Theatre.
